Motorhead - Ace of spades |
] |
Yes folks i am back in school and it seems it's gonna be a great semester. First off i am taking upper level classes for my major. All my professor seem to be really cool. The nice thing is i don't have classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Sorry i have been away for awhile but pretty much all i did this summer was work and went to the movies. I went and saw Wall-E, Speed Racer, Iron Man, Indiana Jones 4, The Dark Knight, Hell boy 2, Hancock, Pineapple express, and Tropic Thunder. All of them were good except for Tropic Thunder which really was a disappointment (despite everyone loving it), there were a few funny moments but the rest kinda sucked. I am still dating Catie (we have been together for over 7 months). My new roomate is really cool and laid back. I went to Phoenix on Thursday and saw the Metal of Masters tour with Judas Priest, Heaven and Hell, Motorhead, and Testament, a great show despite the sound quality of the first few bands. Other then that, sorry i haven't been on here that much but i usually check it once in awhile.

| When was the last time i updated LJ? |
[16 May 2008|07:45pm] |
Seriously its been awhile, but i was busy as hell this semester on school, work, and i guess you can say LIFE. Anyway i got my grades back and here is what i got:
Mat 155 - C ESE 424 - B EDF 301 - A BIO 100 - B BIO 100L - B POS 220 - P
i seriously had a wonderful semester compared to last, i actually am glad that i pass my math class this time (i had to retake it because i got a D last semester), also my friend Chris helped me with BIO and since the class was online, it was a piece of cake. Now next semester is when i get into my core classes and it should be fun.
Enough about school, so what am i doing this summer?
. . . . . . .
WORKING! YEAH! *ends sarcasm*
now its not that i don't care about working (because i need the money), but i am still working in the deli making 11.50 (which is actually the best paying job you can get for a college student and in the town of Flagstaff), but whats pissing me off is not the job, its the people. Recently our manager decides to go on vacation and people decided to call in sick, we have one lady who is quitting next week and just dosn't give a damn anymore, 1 guy got fired and one is about to quit. I'm more mad about if i can get my 3 days off for the following week (May 26-28) because i want to see my parents and of course i got Iron Maiden Tickets which i cannot miss. I seriously do not want to get fucked over, i mean i am pretty much working all this summer and the nicest thing they can do is let me have those 3 days off and i will work the rest of the summer. But since this is Safeway i highly doubt that because Safeway has a reputation of fucking you in strange or bizarre place (like the back of a Volkswagon). I seriously want to see my folks this summer because i decided to stay up in good old flagstaff because i was guaranteed hours at Safeway compared to the one that is close to my house (who barely makes business anymore). Besides going to see the Police and Elvis Costello (my dad got tickets for that show which is pretty good) and seeing Iron Maiden, i am not going to go too many shows (of course i am getting my metal of master tickets this Saturday and that will kick ass).
Fuck it lets do sports (just kidding, i am making fun of my dorky bro for that one)
So i decided to go with Chris and a few people to see the new Speed Racer movie and i have to say i was pleasantly suprised, if you have never seen the tv show then you probably would not get the movie at all, ive noticed alot of reviewers have somewhat been divided, you either love it or hate it. The reason why most people who don't like the movie is because they either:
A) Never seen the Tv show B) Had a seizure during the movie C) Are still pissy and moaning at the fact the movie was cheesy as all get out D) ALl the above
But thats what the Watchoski brothers did, they took the anime show (which was fucking corney as hell where everyone ran like they were constipated), and made it a live action film, every actor really got the characters down, John Goodman was great as the dad and of course Christina Ricci as well (of course i still can't get over her in Black Snake Moan and if you seen that movie you would know what i mean), now another reason people don't like the movie because it was rated PG and some people out there can't handle that and thinking it would be bad, well thats a way to judge films (sarcasm), i love Dr. Strangelove and the Back to the future trilogy and they were rated PG does that mean they were bad? People these days
But yes if you have not seen the tv show, don't go see the movie because you wouldn't get half the jokes and i love how the brother directors really made fun of anime in there own style, it was really hilarious, everyone who saw it in theaters were laughing so hard, this is a movie made for college kids and older folks who have seen the tv show.
Anyway folks i will TRY to update more over the summer, i hope you guys play safe

| Top 10 anime |
[09 Jan 2008|12:54am] |
|
Hey folks, i decided to do a new blog based on my favorite anime of all time. If you don't know what anime is, then its basically cartoons from japan (yes people its a cartoon, don't email me crap about that). Ive been an anime fan for about 15 to 16 years, started watching anime based on some of the shows i watched like Samurai Pizza cats, miya the bee, the kohalas show on nick jr. (i forgot its name), but of course i didn't know it was from japan till years later. As i got older i started watching anime on the sci fi channel on saturdays mornings (usually when my parents weren't around), i watch films like Vampire Hunter D, Akira, Tenchi Muyo movies, Project Ako, then i got into some of the toonami (when they were good about 8-9 years ago). Ive have seen many good anime but i have also seen some really crappy ones as well. Here is my top 10 list of my favorite anime:
*note: Keep in mind this is based on my opinion alone and no one elses*
Number 10
Texhnolyze
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y163/wolfwood2/074664_Texhnocyze.jpg
The first thing that caught my eyes of the show was the beautiful design and art, then i found out that it was from the same team who did Serial Experiments Lain and Haibanei Renmei. So i picked up the first disk and was confused yet equallly intrigued. Then i decided to pick up the rest of the series and what i saw was a series that had a beautiful atmosphere and made you think really hard about human life. Yes the series is very slow at first, but as you progress the show starts to make sense. Also the ending is a masterpiece in its own way, of course its not a happy one at that.
Number 9
FLCL
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y163/wolfwood2/flcl-poster.jpg
I first saw this in my early years as an anime fan (way back in 2001 or 2002) and i remember that i thought it was the dumbest thing out there because it didn't make sense, then a few years later down the road as i have watched more anime, i decided to watch this title again and i started to understand (understanding FLCL is too confusing to know, but understanding to not take it serious is what it means imo), let me just say that the artwork and the music rocks. Also the dub is very well done, i actually prefer it in its dub then its sub part. Gainix (the company who made this anime) is a very unique company that has made quality anime back in the late 80's and throughout the 90's. Anime like Wings of Honeamise, Otaku No Video, Gunbusters, Neon Genesis Evangellion, His and her circumstances, Ebichu, Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, and there latest one Tangen Toppa Gurren Lagann are all great. FLCL is an experiments anime for Gainix and its one of the best. Also don't watch this anime in the dark, it might give you seizure!
Number 8
Millenium Actress
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y163/wolfwood2/MillenniumActress-photo_11_hires.jpg
This was one of the most beloved romance anime i probably ever seen (besided 5 centimeters per second), this was directed by Satoshi Kon, who previous works included Perfect Blue, Paprika, Tokyo Godfathers, and Paranoia Agent, this came out after his Perfect Blue movie and its a complete different one. This time around the story involves a former famous actress who tells her story to a documentary guy about a promise she kept with an ex military spy back in the 30's and 40's. She tells her journey through the movies she was in. What makes this movie unique is how you never tell what scenes were real or which ones were the movies, it would always switch back from reality and make believe, its also was very funny and moving. This was the best Satoshi Kon movie ever made, i highley recommend it.
Number 7
Now and then, here and there
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y163/wolfwood2/250px_Now_and_Then_Here_and_There.png
This was one of the best 13 eps series i have ever seen, its soo emotional and disturbing because the series uses kids to fight in the war, get beaten up, raped, etc. All of this coming from the mastermind of Akitaroh Daichi, who directing resume included Elf Princess Rane, Jubei Chan, Fruits Basket, Kodocha. This was a guy who has directed alot of comedy anime and now he created probably one of the most disturbing anime (in a good way) to come out. It tells a story about a young boy named Shu, who sees a girl getting taking hostage and getting transported into a thousand years in the future where water is hard to find (of course he gets transported as well). This girl has to power to give water to everyone. The series was released by CPM about 6 years ago and its one of there best titles. I think its out of print somewhere, but a few years ago they released the entire series for 30 bucks (which is cheap for anime), its a wonderful and powerful anime and i recommend you seeing it for yourself.
Number 6
Princess Mononoke
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y163/wolfwood2/princessmononoke.jpg
This was one of the first Ghibli films i have ever saw and it brought to liking Hayao Miyazaki. This film is a masterpiece of art and story telling, its a story set in midievel times where gods walked the earth, its just a great movie, i just want to stop right now and tell you guys to go see it for yourself, i know that there are a few people out there who don't like anime, but i usually show them this one and alot of people appreciated this movie. If you ever have a chance, go read Roger ebert review for this movie, he points out some great things about it.
Number 5
Trigun
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y163/wolfwood2/trigun50.jpg
Trigun was the first anime i saw on dvd that was not on the sci fi channel or Adult swim (this was back in 2001 and 02), and i loved it from the start, it combines great action, comedy, and drama. Vash is a very emotional character, the anime tells the story about Vash the Stampede who is worty 60 billion double dollers for destroying the city of July and making every suffer. Of course these 2 girls name Milly and Meryl who are part of some insurence company follow him. Now when the 2 girls meet him, they find that hes not some mean ultimate badass, instead he's a silly perverted doughnut eating guy who dosn't like to hurt people. It takes a few episodes to convince the girl that he's really the humanoid typhyoon. What makes this anime great is not because of the story, but every character is very enjoyable and very likeable, i still think Wolfwood is the most badass anime character to date. Right now Geneon (who recently went out of business) re released the trigun series into 6 disks, i recommend buying it. Do it for LOVE AND PEACE! :D
Number 4
MONSTER
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y163/wolfwood2/Monster.jpg
About 3 years ago, i got out of anime because alot of anime just wasn't doing me any good, alot of anime to me seemed unoriginal (I blame Naruto and Bleach for this one). But i heard of a title called Monster, the story sounded like something from a live action crime drama movie. It tells this story about a japanese guy named Kenzo Tenma living in Germany in the mid 80's, he's this surgeon that everyone likes, one day a boy who had a bullet in his head was rushed to the emergency room and Tenma performed surgery on him, well years later he finds out that the boy he saved is now some psycho path serial killer and everyone calls him the Monster, so Tenma goes on a journey to stop him, but he finds out more then what he's bargain for. Monster took my breath away with its storytelling originality, even people who don't like anime would probably enjoy it because the characters look nothing cliche like most anime characters. All the characters have that european look to them. The anime is 74 episodes long and it is slow, but be patient with it and you will enjoy it. The manga is license by Viz and the anime follows it very close, and New Line Cinema is directing the live action version of this. The screenplay writer who is writing it is the guy who did the screenplay for A history of Violence and Easter Promises. The movie is supposed to come out next year, i really can't wait to see it. If people are complaining about how theres not alot of good anime in the last few years, i recommend you check out Monster, you will not be disapointed.
Number 3
Cowboy Bebop
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y163/wolfwood2/CowboyBebop57.jpg
I dunno but i always feel that Cowboy Bebop is probably one of the most americanized anime i have ever seen. It has elements of American culture into this series and its also a very fun one at that. It basically tell the story of 2 bounty hunters who got after crooks for money. They meet some intresting people along the way. The Music is great and so is the animation, also the dub for this one is excellent, i can never watch it sub. This was another anime i saw back during my freshman year of high school and it will always be in my heart as one of the best anime tv shows. Much recommendation
Number 2
My Neighbor Totoro
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y163/wolfwood2/totororules.jpg
Roger Ebert put it nicely when he watches this films "everytime i see this film, i just smile, smile, and smile". Seriously this one of the best kids movies ive seen and its also a very smart one at that. When i review a movie (especially a kids movie), i don't like to dumb it down for people, i talk about a movie just like any other movie. The story is about 2 girls who move into a new house with there dad, there mom is very sick in the hospital. One day the younger girl wanders off and meets a forest spirit named Totoro, the movie is complelty innocent and also fun. The movie has dark moment where they find out that mom got really sick and she woudn't be able to come home to the weekend (of course this is seriously bad news to the girls), but it just such a great film for everyone. When i have kids, i want them to watch this film because it's really a sweet movie.
AND FINALLY NUMBER ONE
THE CASTLE OF CAGLIOSTRO
http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y163/wolfwood2/lupinIII.jpg
Old school anime at its best, this is one of the most fun anime movie you will probably ever watch. Not only is it a Lupin movie but its the first movie directed by Hayao Miyazaki. What makes this movie great is how fun and silly yet action packed and moving this movie is. If you don't know who Lupin the 3rd is. Then i recommend checking out the tv show (of course the tv show is completly different from the movie). The tv show was a little more vulgar then this movie and i know some people hate the lupin series and absolutly adore this movie. The story follows Lupin the 3rd and Jigen who just stole money from a casino, and only to find out the money is fake, so they rush to the Castle of Caglistro to unlock the mystery of the goat bills. Of course every lupin character like Goemon, Fugicko, and Zennigata are in it. Also the animation is Top notch for a movie that came out 1979. This needs to be seen by every anime fan at least once, to know its culturally significane to the anime world. Also it has one of the best moments in anime history, the car chase scene.
Well i hope you guys enjoyed reading this, feel free to comment it.

Rush - Stick it out |
] |
Man, ive been really busy the last few weeks due to school and work. I work weekends from 3 - 11 pm which pretty much blows off my weekend to hang out really. School is getting harder, I'm still trying to hang in there. My life feels like that show 24 where i'm pretty much on the edge of my seat.
Well i really don't want to talk negative, lets talk positive! :D
Anyway the new Best Buy opened up here in Flagstaff friday is which really good because we needed one (i heard from one of the employees that they have been planning this for 7 years, its about fucking time), so i went to check it out before work and its a nice place, i picked up 2 Rush albums "Fly by night" and "Grace Under Pressure". IMO GUP is a great 80's Rush album besides Presto, Signals, and Moving Pictures. I also came to a conclusion that I'm going to pick up every Rush album they have out (not including there cover or live albums) but there studio albums, i already have 10 of there studio albums (Rush, FBN, 2112, Hemispheres, MP, GUP, Presto, TFE, VP, and S & A) and they have 18 of them, so why the hell not. When i get all there albums, i plan to to make a good mix cd of Rush songs, i already got 2 cds worth of Rush songs, 30 of my favorite songs and 15 songs on each disc, here is the folowing track list:
Rush mix 1:
Freewill Red Barchetta Subdivisions Time Stand Still Stick it out Closer to the heart Working Man Roll the Bones Distant early Warning Far Cry The Pass Mystic Rhythms The Body Electric Fly By Night Bastille Day
Rush mix 2:
Show Don’t Tell Working them angels Tom Sawyer Nobody’s Hero Red Sector A The Trees New World Man The Spirit of the radio Limelight The Analog Kid Superconductor Resist Passage to Bangkok One Little Victory YYZ
I plan to put at least one song from each Rush album in my mix
Anyway thats it for today, i'm going to read for my Geology class and head to bead.

| Cocaine is a helluva drug |
[10 Sep 2007|01:46am] |
Yes folks I'm still alive after not posting a new entry for nearly 3 months! (I wanted to say over 9,000! but many people would probably not get it! haha) i am back up at NAU taking my courses to become the Greatest teacher to ever come out of Arizona
. . . . . or something like that. But anyway this whole summer i worked for about 30-40 hours a week at Safeway, and i went to the movies. That was pretty much my summer (of course going to a few shows). I'm kinda excited that I'm back up here in Flagstaff doing my things. The classes seem to be ok. I'm taking 13 credit hours, One is the conclusion to my last elementary math class, the other is a Geological disaster class (my lab science). I am also taking a education and psychology course (which is really interesting) and the confusing yet boring BME430 course (which is trying to teach kids from a different country the English language). Now i don't think it would be a bad class if the teacher was not reading the content a million miles a minute (she talks so fast that i get a headache and I'm not the only one who has the issue). Luckily I'm thinking of talking to her privately about what needs to be done in class (and she's a nice person, so i don't think i will have problems).
Anyway enough about my classes, my new roommate is pretty cool (of course i like my old roommate from last year), but my new roommate is from Germany and he's really laid back. I live in the same dorm as last year (and exact same room). I got the anime club back in session and this year is going to be good. We just had our first meeting Friday and over 25 people showed up (i was surprised alot of girls showed up, and half of them were really cute)
*note: About 98.7 percent of anime girls have ONE of the following traits:
A) Anti social B) Over weight C) Usually huge YAOI Fans D) Wear Cat ears E) Will always wear Invader Zim T shirts or hoodies for god knows what! (I'm not dissing Invader Zim because it was one of the last few good Nick shows in the last 6 years, i just observe this stuff a lot).
But the girls (and the guys) were really awesome. When Will and i were talking about our purpose for the club, one of the members said "It's awesome to have a club that doesn't obsessed about Naruto or bleach" and everyone applauded after he said that. Me of course was thrilled to hear this.
Also i transferred up to a Safeway in flagstaff so i will be working weekends (usually closing). But at least i will make about 100 bucks a weeks, it better then nothing
anyway i only got 4 hourse a sleep, so I'm out

| Top 5 manga |
[10 Jun 2007|09:45pm] |
Hey folks I decided to have a little fun this week, I decided to talk about my top favorite mangas of all time. Now I usually don't read a lot of manga, but there are some out there that are really great and are worth reading. I just wanted to talk about my top 5 mangas of all time. Here we go:
NUMBER 5
Death Note

Now I didn't get into Death Note until recently (thanks for the anime version), but I decided to go and read the manga online, and from what I read (and finished of course), it was awesome. I'm surprised that the anime follows the manga very well and despite being a Shounen Jump manga, it’s a damn good title. I usually don't read a lot from Shounen Jump titles (except Bobobo and Reborn), but I felt that this is one of their better titles. I highly recommend reading or even picking up this manga.

NUMBER 4
Monster

Naoki Urasawa masterpiece, no its really one of the most original manga ive ever read (and of course the anime is awesome and adapted very well). Monster is like no other, the story is not very cliché at all and every character is so unique. What some noobish anime fans will think that the anime is not very pretty (because everyone doesn’t look like the stereotypical anime designs). Also the plot is great and twisted. This manga gave me a new look on how manga can be made and I recommend everyone to not walk but RUN to get this manga.

NUMBER 3
Chobits

This was one of the first CLAMP titles ive ever read (and I still think its one of there better titles). This is CLAMP take on the Shounen romance genre. While I despise a majority of newer shounen romance titles (most because of stupid fan service and shit), this manga truly is different. Oh sure, there are some fan service in this manga, but its not overdone at all. What I like is the second half the manga, CLAMP jumps in and does there far share of twist and turns and leaves a good impression on you till the very end. I loved all the characters to Chobits, I found them all unique in there own way and the manga never got boring to me. If you want a Shounen manga that’s not over the top and very sweet, pick up and read Chobits

NUMBER 2
Kare Kano (his and her circumstances)

If there are some people out there who refuse to read Shojo manga because it’s a GIRL manga, then you seriously need to be slapped, Kare Kano is far from a typical girly manga. I feel that this manga is one of the smartest romantic comedy manga ive ever read. Every character in this manga is great. It deals with relationship and friendship, and Kare Kano does a helluva good job at presenting this. This was one of the first shojo manga ive ever read (I heard about this from every manga fan out there) and it’s a great one too. Also check out the anime (its called His and her Circumstances) while it does a good job following the manga up to a particular point, the anime just stops. So if anyone enjoyed the anime and wants to know what happens with Yukino and Arima relationship, then pick up the manga and start reading and you will be very satisfied with the ending of manga. Although its not the most perfect ending, it will put a smile on your face.

and my NUMBER 1 FAVORITE MANGA
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind

Amazing, simply amazing. Miyazaki greatest achievement. This manga has it all, amazing storyline, action, suspense, unique characters, and a surprising conclusion that was much better than the movie. Now if their one thing the manga has that is not good is it can get confusing sometimes. Some of the artwork in Nausicaa is sometimes hard to look at and will have you puzzled in understanding what’s going on, but don't let that stop you from enjoying it. This is a worthy investment and a must have in every manga collectors collection.

HONORABLE MENTIONS
Now while this manga is not in my top 5 mangas, this is still a helluva good manga for people to check out and is awesome in its own right.
CROMARTIE HIGH SCHOOL

This is by far one of the strangest, yet very hilarious mangas ive ever read (plus the anime kicks ass). Imagine it this way, its very azumanga daioh, but instead replace the cute girls with Big bad bullies, but who aren’t really bullies at all (more like morons), add a giant gorilla, a talking robot and of course Freddie Mercury of Queen (yes folks I’m dead serious). This is Cromartie high school, I suggest people to check it out, also the anime is very good as well (if you're into that kind of humor). Be warned though, not everyone who reads the manga will enjoy it, while I found it fucking hilarious, others found it quite annoying and dumb. Cromartie high is not meant to make you think, but it makes you laugh. Just sit back and enjoy what Cromartie is about.

okay maybe that was a lame subject title but i had to think of something. Yes folks i'm still alive and doing well. Unfortunatly some stuff has happen to my family in the last couple of days. WEll not to me or my mom or dad, but to my brother Ryan. If anyone knew him, he lives in California. On saturday (more like sunday at 2 in the morning) we get a call from one of his freinds and they said he fell off some chain fence and broke his elbow, my parents decided to go to california and they left around 3 in the morning. I stayed back because i had to take care of the puppies. Well i get a call from them (my parents )later on sunday and mostly monday, and they tell me that he really fucked up his elbow and he has to have it reconstructed. Now the elbow he screwed up was his left elbow and unfortunatly that his writing hand. He has to go through rehab and try to work out his elbow again. Luckily he will be having surgery on thursday. I keep talking to Ryan and he really down and i tell him that he's lucky he didn't land on his head (where he could of done some real damage). Another thing is due to this event, my trip to Ohio is cancelled. Which isn't really a big loss (we were going to go see my cousin graduate, which is not that big to me). SO i have a weeks vacation to the house myself. I just hope the surgery goes well for him.
On a good note, i got my job back for Safeway and i will be working in the deli this summer. That good because i miss making money ( i sound kinda greedy when i say that). I got MOST of my grades in for my classes, i got 2 B's and 1 A. I don't know what my grade yet is for Math but im hoping for a B, possibly a C. Ive been downloading new anime (more like old school anime) and ive been catching up with that.
Anyway i hope to write more this summer with this free time i have. Take care guys.

For people who go to animenewsnetwork.com, each week they do an article called on "shelf life", basically its this guy who reviews dvds that are worthy of owning, renting or not worthy of watching or owning. Well they have been doing a segment for couple of weeks called "shelf obsessed" (its at the bottom of the page), people have been sending pics of their anime collection, this week my collection was featured. I just thought this was hilarious to tell you guys!

| Still alive and kicking it |
[28 Feb 2007|09:02pm] |
Hey folks its old pal Dan the Man and i just watned to tell you guys that i'm still alive.
Nothing really is going on other then ive been busy with school. I'm doing well in my classes overall (im just trying to get a B in my physics class because i need too in order to get into the college of education). Besides school i hang out with my freind Chris and we chill on the weekends (lately we have been watching Myster Scince theater 3000 on youtube). Oh yeah i went to the lamb of god show last wed. (which Kick ass btw). The stage was soo much smaller and the barcage was really close to the stage. Randy Blythe jumped into the crowd and i was near where i lifted him back up on the stage (which was cool). Yeah the show was awsome (the best show ive seen from them). The opener band Gojira (a band from France) were amazing and ive been listening to them for awhile. After the show Chris and i met the lead singer of Gojira (Really cool dude) and i got to meet Mark Morton (guitarist of Lamb of God) he was a pretty cool guy, of course ive met him and the rest of the band back in 2005. Also this week, i was bringning back memories of my young childhood and i downloaded a gameboy emulator and started playing Pokemon! What can i say, the video game is awsome and was fun to play, I dunno why but its such a great game to play. Only one of the few RPG games i really got into.
Next week im doing counseling for Chi ro church retreat. This means i will spend my weekend with middle schoool kids! YEAH! hahaha jk i acutally like doing this kinda stuff. So its gonna be intresting.
oh yeah one last thing:
MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER FUCKING RULES!!!1
seriously as a kid the show was hilarious and to this date, i still stand by my opinion. I can never get tired watching these bad horrible movies getting made fun of by the MST3K crew. So guys if you never heard of this show, then you're a bad person. Go on youtube and look up "The Final Sacrifice" its one of my favorite MST3K, its always hilarious to watch.
Anyway i'm tired and i probably going to play more Pokemon (blue version)
smell ya later

[12 Jan 2007|02:24pm] |

| Back from Phoenix |
[26 Nov 2006|03:10pm] |
Hey foks i just got back from Phoenix about an hour ago and i have to say i had a realy fun time. I got to my house at 3 on wed. with my roomate Ming Fei (yes thats his name), and we spend the whole night just talking with the folks and doing a little homework, My bro got in late that night and as a whole family we watched Family Guy on Adult Swim. The next day was of coruse Thanksgiving and it was nice, it was Ming's first thanksgiving and i think he had fun. We invited some of moms freinds to come over and that was good. ON friday me, Ryan, and Ming got up around 6:30 and did some shopping (of course we only went to Frys which was an hour of waiting in line) then we went around other places and i came home and slept. Later Paul and Rob kidnapped me and i took Ming along and we smoked Hooka and saw the Tenacious D movie which was fucking hilarious btw. After that we stopped by Pauls house to get his wii and brought it back to my house while were getting drunk and playing Wii sports. It was hilarious seeing my mom playing it. Then we watched a few more eps of Family and Red Vs. Blue on dvd and went to bed. Saturday Paul, Rob, Ming, and i went to IHOP and afterwards Ming and I met my family and we went to see Borat (which ive seen already) but my parents loved it. We came and just chilled all day and ate leftovers. Ming freinds called him and he wanted to go back to Flagstaff so he can finish his Homework (which was understandable). SO Saturday night it was the just the foks and i and we watch Cars (which was ok, not as good as Bugs Life or Toy Story). Today i woke up around 9 and had French Toast and decided to head back on the road around 11.
Overall i had a great thanksgiving and it just sucks i have to do a little more homework. But afterwards im meeting up Chris and we're going to play Guitar Hero II, Take care guys.
btw
Orgasm = love

Hey folks sorry i don't update that much, been busy as usual. Since yesterday i think i have a cold, but im going to the infermary (or however you spell it). Been working on some homework (well not alot). Friday me and Chris hung out and watch Death note eps 6 and then i picked up Yvonne from work and she paid me back (because ive been driving her from work to her apartment)by buying me Vodka (i swear you the expensive kind Yvonne) so when me and Chris got back, we made Screwdrivers and watch Martian Successor Nadiesco (which is pretty funny when your wasted) and me and Chris started getting hammered (i mean it was 100 proof so yeah its going to get you fucked up) so after a few eps i walked home pretty wasted with a thing of Minute Maid Orange Juice in my hand, i get back and i had to puke (i mean im walking home side ways and such) after i puked i felt better, still drunk out of my mind and decided to drunk call my brother and talk randomly. Then i passed out and woke up at nine the next day. I decided to go get breakfest and drink a shitload of water to feel better. Then i decided to do a little homework took a nap afterwards. All yesterday i did basically NOTHING. So tired from the night before that i played Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 and been watching some fan made Yu GI oh videos (which are fucking hilarious btw). I decided to run to BK and get food and watch the Boondock Saints that night (which is a kick ass movie btw. My bro calls me TWICE last night because he was drunk as hell and basically got payback for what i did to him the other. An eye for an eye i guess! lol. Then i of course watched Adult swim and went to bed at 4 this morning. I woke up today around noon and worked on some more spanish and with me feeling a little shitty, i had a pretty decent weekend, i miss doing stuff like this back in Phoenix with Paul and Rob. Anyway im going to go and relaxed and watch my shows tonight. Take care guys
